Senior Financial Accountant- Coventry

We are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant who will report to the UK Finance Director whilst managing a medium sized finance team which includes purchase and sales ledger, payroll and a number of part qualified accountants. The role will require amongst other things the ability to develop strong relationships with other parts of finance and external auditors.

The Senior Financial Accountant’s duties will include:

• Coordinate the production of monthly management reports and to provide a monthly reporting pack for review with the Finance Director
• Produce annual financial statements, including producing consolidated Group financial statements
• To take responsibility for the statutory requirements relating to the dormant subsidiaries
• Monitor cash balances, provide variance analysis against budget, and produce forecasts as required
• To take responsibility for all aspects of VAT, including producing quarterly VAT returns and liaising with HMRC
• Maintain fixed asset register and post appropriate journals Produce capital expenditure reports in line with business requirements
• To support the team in all aspects of their roles and to recruit, develop, set objectives and monitor performance

We require a candidate that has:

• Willingness to take ownership of all financial reporting requirements of a busy manufacturing site
• Excellent attention to detail and Excel skills
• Experience of managing finance teams
• Wide range of statutory reporting experience i.e. PAYE, VAT, Intrastat, pension, Packaging Waste, Invest NI grants
• Ability to work on own initiative with a drive to improve processes and performance

For the successful candidate this vacancy can pay up to £45,000 per annum.
